[Period] 2025
[Financing] CAU/MG – Architecture and Urbanism Council of Minas Gerais – Public call for sponsorship
[Abstract] Extension project with the objective of improving the [RENOVATION] in the palm of your hand platform version 2 in order to provide the best ways to provide guidance for renovations in single-family social housing units (ground-floor house). The methodological procedures will be applied to residents of the case study, in Residencial Sucesso Brasil (Shopping Park Neighborhood) and subdivision 2A4 (Pequis Neighborhood), both located in the city of Uberlândia/MG. The aim of this project is to identify the types of renovations and expansions in SIS, as well as the social practices that influence residents in their decision-making regarding housing improvements, providing, through the [REFORMA] Platform, more resilient guidelines for renovations and expansions in SIS. The project is structured in: (i) Development of APO instruments for SIS; (ii) Application of APO/HIS instruments in the case study; (iii) Dissemination of the material produced. The project will use a methodology linked to APO, Theory of Practices and Coproduction, bringing together researchers, undergraduate and graduate students in a collaborative research and extension action, promoting interaction between the university and the community for the development of more appropriate and accessible solutions to the housing needs of HIS residents. The project will be developed through the application of questionnaires, Coproduction Workshop and usability testing with residents in the case study. At the end, it will produce improvements to the [REFORMA] Platform and virtual and printed letters with guidance material for renovations and HIS. The proposal follows the UFU extension guidelines, notably in the dialogic interaction of the academic community with society.
Status: In progress; Nature: Extension
