[Abstract]
Post-occupancy evaluation (POE) of environmental quality in housing is a necessary and relevant topic in both national and international research, guided by global and local sustainable development agendas, namely the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 7, 11, and 12. Evaluation processes have increasingly adopted new information, communication, and digital interface technologies to achieve their objectives, becoming more efficient, educational, and collaborative. Therefore, this research project aims to: (i) Enhance the APODIGITAL SYSTEM – a digital platform for managing POE, and (ii) Improve and disseminate the evaluation tools MEU APÊ and COMO VOCÊ MORA, both developed in a previous research project funded by FAPEMIG/CNPq. The improvements notably include the use of Internet of Things (IoT), Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality (AR/VR), and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the tools to obtain new data and foster greater user interaction. The methodology will be supported by Design Science Research (in the phases of foundation, development, and evaluation), and will be carried out by interdisciplinary work teams in the fields of Architecture and Urbanism, Design, and Computer Science. The project will provide users with POE tools focused on sustainable living, accessible via the internet and smartphones, exploring interactive features and user-friendly, collaborative, and intuitive digital interfaces. Based on the information collected by the system, the project aims to provide statistical and scientific data that can enhance the environmental quality of housing projects, as well as guide the establishment of public policies, regulations, and legislation. It will also serve as a source of information and knowledge for users by providing access to data and insights about housing and its impacts on the environment in which they live.
